Without a license after the week, capture and search by meaning pause, and your archive and keyword search stay. ## The free week When you turn on search by meaning in the app, Onadit gives your Mac a key for Voyage's models, and I pay for it. You get 7 days with that key. The week starts with the first conversation in your archive once the key is in place: your first import, or your first captured session. The app's Overview and `onadit status` show the days left. If you use your own Voyage key, or never turned on search by meaning, there is no week to count, because you are not using the key I pay for. ## After the week Without a license, Onadit stops using the key: - Capture pauses. New sessions wait on your Mac and are captured once you add a license - Search by meaning pauses. Search goes on by keyword, for you and for your agents - Your archive stays on your Mac, whole. Nothing is deleted Conversations you import while paused can be searched by keyword right away, and by meaning once you add a license. ## Buy and add your license 1. Buy at https://onadit.com/checkout. It is €5 a month until 31 December 2026, then €9 a month, excluding VAT, and you can cancel anytime at https://onadit.com/billing 2. The thank-you page shows your license, and the same license comes by email 3. In the app, choose Add license on the Overview and paste it, or run `onadit license` in Terminal and paste it when asked The engine restarts by itself as soon as it is idle, and capture and search by meaning come back. ## Several Macs 1 license works on every Mac you use. Add the same one on each. ## How the license is checked When you add it, and then about once a day while the engine runs, Onadit sends the license, and nothing else, to `onadit.com/api/license/verify`. That page asks Stripe whether your subscription is active, and answers yes or no. Without internet, Onadit keeps working for 14 days after the last check that went through. A cancelled subscription stays active until the end of the month you paid for. After that, the next check pauses capture and search by meaning, as after the free week. ## Lost your license Write to support@onadit.com from the email you paid with, and I will send it again. On a new Mac, add the same license.
